The Dao Heart and Yang Spirit

Synopsis

In the Great Sheng Dynasty, rank and order reign, and the divide between legitimate and illegitimate children is as vast as the heavens.

Su Chen, an illegitimate son of the Duke of Zhenguo, watched his mother die unjustly. He himself survived like an insect, enduring endless torment, with even the hope of studying or cultivating beyond his reach.

The world believes the body is mortal and the soul returns to the netherworld. Only the imperial house and noble families possess secret scriptures of immortality and monopolize the road to ascension, using ritual and doctrine as chains to bind all living beings.

Yet they do not know that a book can nurture righteous energy, and a single thought can gather the gods of ten thousand ages.

After unexpectedly obtaining an ancient sacred scripture, Su Chen, born to a humble family, forges divinity through learning and tempers his body through martial cultivation. His soul leaves his body, striking straight through the forces of evil!

Those who bully me will be face-slapped; those who insult my mother will pay in blood!

He takes on his stepmother, slays his legitimate elder brother, overturns the Duke's mansion, and tramples the noble families' path. With a rallying cry, the humble rise as one!

His scholarship overwhelms the Confucians; his martial might subdues the court. Thunder tribulations cleanse his soul, and heaven and earth become his furnace.

He will shatter the shackles of class and break the dynasty's constraints, making his soul pure, immortal yang, and opening the path to ascension for all!

In this life, he seeks neither wealth nor power. He seeks only to forge the supreme Yang God with his own Dao heart, transcend life and death, and reign alone across all ages!
