Lu Tianci, an escaped patient from Longdu No. 2 Psychiatric Hospital, is thirty years ahead of his peers in mental instability.
After transmigrating to the cultivation world, he has no golden finger, no System, and no old man to guide him. All he has is a patient’s uniform and a head full of utterly deranged ideas.
The righteous sects call him crazy, the demonic sects call him a freak, and the demon clans think there’s something wrong with his head. They’re all right.
He naps in the ancestral tomb, steams beggar’s chicken in an alchemy furnace, and nearly drives the sect’s spirit beasts to extinction by sneaking bites of them. Everyone thinks he’s an idiot, until he uses a bottle of liquefied spiritual energy to blow up a mountain.
They call him “Mad Rod,” and both sides of the law steer clear of him.
He says, “I’m the Carefree Rod King.”
Nobody pays him any mind.
Later, he takes over a spirit mine, opens a chain of shops, raises an army of muscular berserk beasts, and has so many lovely companions that they queue up to the gates of the forbidden zone.
Only then do people realize: this isn’t an idiot. He’s a thousand-year-old schemer who plays the pig to eat the tiger!
I read it in one sitting, and it is a recommended book about cultivating immortals. The emotional description is very delicate and the characters are very vivid. It is a pretty good novel.
