Where She Walks, Spring Blooms and Grass Grows Wild

Three years of chaos without a spring. The earth froze solid, and no crops would grow. The court ordered the people to migrate south in search of the so-called “Yang Vein” that could keep them alive.

Jiang Chunchi, a mute girl, was driven out of her village and crossed the wasteland alone. Wherever her bare feet touched, shoots sprang from barren soil and greenery emerged from scorched earth.

Everyone saw her as a harbinger of disaster and wanted to drive her away or kill her. Only an old beggar protected her as she fled. On a snowy night, an avalanche buried a ruined temple, but warmth rose from the earth beneath her feet, thawing the frozen grass roots and saving all three of them.

With every step, she brought the breath of spring, awakening dormant seeds and drawing the attention of starving refugees, officials, and unseen powers.

From an abandoned infant to the source of a strange phenomenon, she carried the burden of misunderstanding as she pressed on, determined to bring life back to every patch of land.

Spring was no gift from heaven. It was hope she forged with every step.
