The Alley: With Jiaoyang by Dongzhe's Side, I'll Avoid the Same Mistakes This Life

Lin Zhiyao, a top-ranked space-time mission agent, receives an unusual request for an unpaid mission. It comes in the form of a tear-stained letter from Lin Dongzhe, now old and frail, in the small world of A Home in the Alley.

After reading his regret-filled letter, Lin Zhiyao agrees to take on the mission and identifies three things she believes matter most.

First, Lin Dongzhe wants someone to become the love he can never let go of before Zhuang Xiaoting does.

Second, he wants to change himself and the Lin family, and rise above everyone else.

Third, he doesn't want the Lin family to keep helping the Zhuang family, and wants to stay away from them all.

They make a pact to keep each other company and go to college together.

She says to him: “You fool! I've been right here waiting for you to marry me all along. I've never wavered in what I wanted.”

They pledge their love, swear eternal devotion, and face the future together.

She says to him: “So have I.”

They stay together, surrounded by children and grandchildren, and pass away side by side.
