Lin Ye, a street thug, carved out a place for himself in the urban villages through sheer, reckless ruthlessness. But after he stole a battered compass from an old Taoist, a bolt of lightning hurled him into the Canglan Continent, where he took over the body of a foolish, illegitimate son of the Jingwu Marquis's household, someone everyone could bully.
With a ruined courtyard for shelter and spoiled food to fill his stomach, he faced a vicious matriarch and cruel servants. It was hell mode from the start. But the thug's blood in his veins had never cooled: he crushed enemies with bricks, dominated through underhanded tricks, and talked back to anyone and everyone, without a care for rules.
Fortunately, the compass he carried concealed a secret. The ancient art, the Myriad Forms Return to Origin Art, unlocked a chaotic spirit root attuned to every element, while the lost compendium, the Talisman Register of No Taboos, was packed with wickedly clever techniques. From then on, the fool awakened and began cultivating like a punk: beating up cruel servants, crushing his legitimate elder brother, and delivering face-slapping to the matriarch until no one in the marquis's household dared look down on him. He charged into immortal sects, fought prodigies, and explored secret realms, making a thug's name for himself throughout the cultivation world.
He cared nothing for the lofty principles of cultivation, trusting only in fists hard enough to win. He followed no sect rules, remembering only to repay kindness and avenge wrongs. Armed with the cunning and ruthlessness of a modern street punk, and bolstered by an heaven-defying golden finger, Lin Ye rose against all odds. He would clear his wronged birth mother's name, and carve out a path to immortality that belonged to punks alone in this world of the strong devouring the weak!
