A niche fandom novel inspired by my buddy.
I'm going to let him read it when I'm done.

Here's the story synopsis.
Yang Huan
Twenty-one years old, and still in high school.
He was kicked out of middle school for playing on his phone. He hated studying, but he was great at video games. His parents wanted him to transfer to a new school, but he flat-out refused. He ran away from Chongqing to Shanghai to make milk tea, and had suffered every hardship imaginable. He thought he could keep drifting through life like that forever.
Then, two years ago, his father drove drunk and killed someone. He went to prison. The compensation came to five hundred thousand yuan, and at home there were still his mother, younger brother, and younger sister. If he didn't step up, who would?
He didn't want to go to school. But when he applied for a security guard job, he learned that even security guards needed a bachelor's degree. As a middle school dropout, he couldn't even find a job standing guard in Shanghai.
He accepted it.
He hadn't cried when his father went to prison, and the five hundred thousand yuan debt hadn't fazed him either. But the day before school started, his mother called. “Yang Huan, take care of yourself. Don't make me worry.” His family had argued for years, and their relationships had always been lukewarm. He thought he had stopped caring long ago.
Only after hanging up did he understand: he wasn't heartless.
That night, he cried his heart out.
…
Forget it, I'm sick of watching this unfold. I'll just spill the whole thing, damn it.
