Special forces instructor Shen Zhao transmigrates into the body of Shen Zhao, a regent who disguises herself as a man in the Great Liang dynasty.
After the original Shen Zhao helps the young emperor take the throne, the court turns on her. As soon as she takes over this body, she faces ministers demanding she surrender power, a young emperor who sees her as a thorn in his side, and one assassination attempt after another.
Even more absurdly, she discovers she has three “bonus kids”: a candidate heir to the throne, forced on her by her enemies and raised to inherit her position; a little princess sent as a hostage by an enemy state; and a mysterious youth of unknown origins who always looks at her with a chilling gaze.
Bound to the [Emperor-Raising System], Shen Zhao is forced into a dual challenge of “raising kids and seizing power.” She teaches the children political intrigue, the art of war, and the skills of an emperor, but gradually discovers
- The eldest seems respectful, but is secretly plotting to seize power. He has bought off the entire court.
- The second appears obedient, but is actually a spy carefully trained by an enemy state, and holds evidence that could ruin her.
- The third’s origins are a mystery, but she has a vague feeling that this youth wants to kill her, and, has already succeeded more than once.
I find it quite interesting that the mysteries surrounding the three children are waiting to be revealed one by one.
