I Just Want to Be Stripped of My Title, So Why Did Father Abdicate?

After transmigrating as the Crown Prince of Great Qian, Xiao Jingheng wasn't worried at all. He just wanted to be deposed.

To get rid of this hot potato as soon as possible, he decided to become a depraved, useless crown prince.

He tried to recruit the scions of powerful families, only to discover that one of them was a peerless swordsman who helped him crush an assassination plot with a single strike.

He carelessly assigned generals to the border, only for them to mistake his orders for an unparalleled military strategy and casually flatten the enemy capital.

He deliberately raised military pay until the treasury went broke, but the soldiers were so moved that they wept and swore blood oaths to brave any danger for the crown prince.

Xiao Jingheng was at his wits' end. “I really just want to slack off and get deposed! What on earth are you people imagining?”

Then one day, an enemy empress sent a letter proposing a political marriage, the Duke of Zhenguo led a million troops to the city gates, and the chief grand secretary of the cabinet knelt outside the Eastern Palace with an imperial robe in his hands.

Furious, Xiao Jingheng rushed to the palace to complain to his father, only to find the old emperor had already written his abdication edict and was watching him with a smile. “My son, at last I can hand over the throne in peace.”

Xiao Jingheng threw his head back and sighed. “Why is it so hard to be a deposed crown prince?!”
