The Archives Bureau: Who Says I Only Restore Books?

A county gazetteer from the Ming dynasty spontaneously burst into flames in his hands. In its place appeared a line of bloody text: “Save me, I’m inside the Yongle Encyclopedia.”

The next second, someone claiming to be from the “Classics Administration Bureau” burst through the window. “You’ve been recruited.”

Only then did Shen Moyan learn that ancient books could come alive, and that worlds existed within their pages. He had been born with eyes that could see “book spirits,” making him the only key to finding the original Yongle Encyclopedia, missing for six hundred years.

The Paper Figure Cult wants to steal the national treasure and unlock forbidden arts. The Academy of Books is secretly working against them, while foreign powers watch hungrily from afar. Worst of all, the voice that summoned him belongs to someone closest to him.

“Who says a book restorer can’t save the world? Open this book and witness how one restorer turns the world upside down.”
