Hidden within the Hong Kong police force is a fringe department that handles unsolved cases that "cannot be explained scientifically." It was initially called the "Exhibits and Antiques Warehouse" and was later upgraded to the "Uncensored Case Review Division." This department stores evidence from cases that have not been solved for many years. These evidences often cause supernatural phenomena because they carry the resentment and obsession of the deceased. The core logic of the story: All supernatural phenomena are caused by "man-made disasters". The revenge and guidance of the resentful spirits are essentially to uncover the hidden truth. The mission of the protagonists is to "solve the case" and "transfer the spirits" in parallel, which not only restores the truth of the murder, but also resolves the obsession of the resentful spirits.
