The Umbrella Knows I Like You

When students chose their academic tracks in their second year of high school, Lin Xiao first met class monitor Chen Yucheng by the noticeboard. His remark, "I don't want to memorize anything," quietly set a young girl's heart aflutter. Her friend Xu Tian did everything she could to help, while Lin Xiao hid her crush, silently watching the gentle boy between the desks, by the sports field, and on rainy days.

On two rainy nights, the same tilted black umbrella sheltered the fluttering feelings of her entire youth. But the presence of Su Wanwan, the childhood friend, turned her joy to heartache. She deliberately distanced herself and struggled alone. Young love was restrained and timid, and in the end, graduation brought only regret. They each went their own way, growing farther apart.

Fifteen years later, their classmates reunited, and the feelings left unspoken back then were finally confessed. The umbrella that had witnessed her secret love, and the affection hidden away through the years, left only acceptance after time had washed over them. From the first stirrings of youthful love to finding peace in their separate lives, this crush spanning their youth finally made peace with the past.
