The Golden Boy Fell for Someone Ordinary Like Me

[Modern setting + ordinary-looking protagonist + gorgeous love interest]

My name is Mo Zhou. I often wonder why he would ever be attracted to such an ordinary face and figure. I think about how easily he says “I love you,” simply parting his lips and murmuring a few words. Maybe we never should have met. The hurt and pain, even when followed by a slap and a sweet treat, leave my heart like a sponge that has soaked up water, still wanting more.

But why does he look at me with such affection now? Is he pretending? I don’t understand.

Ordinary, unremarkable protagonist VS gorgeous, devoted love interest
