The Heavenly Gate Calamity Begins

Legend has it that the great world of the Nine Heavens was once a boundless chaos. The Heavenly Venerable of the Dao of Morality used supreme power to create the heavens and earth, establish order, and bring forth all things. Yet all living things remained beneath his Dao.

A billion years later, the seal weakened, and the demons from beyond the domain stirred, seeking to drag this world back into the void. Knowing his end was near, the Heavenly Venerable split his true spirit into nine fragments and scattered them throughout the world, awaiting the day they could reunite and once more stabilize the universe.

Another hundred thousand years passed. In the Eastern Wilderness, in a remote little city,

night fell over the Lin family like ink, and the flash of blades was like blood.

On the night his family was slaughtered, Lin Chen, the Lin family's third young master, dismissed by everyone as a good-for-nothing, accidentally touched the “Dao Seed” that had lain dormant for billions of years.

From that moment on, his fate was no longer his own.

Would he go with the will of Heaven and become the preordained “tool for saving the world”? Or would he use the will of a “human” to redefine this world?

When Lin Chen, the “good-for-nothing,” clenched his fist,

he declared, “Heaven's Dao wants me to live a certain way? Then I refuse.”
