The Moss Has Yet to Fade

“If I get better, will you be with me?”

I said yes. I promised I’d never take it back.

But he broke his promise.

All he left me was a diary filled with my name,

and ninety-nine letters, with these words: “Thank you for coming into my life, even though my life was so short.”

Later, I went to the seaside, carrying his ashes.

The wind was strong. I couldn’t tell which gust was him. This is a story about unrequited love, death, and goodbye.

A beautiful tragedy, read with caution.
