As the foremost of the world's three great cultivation sects, the Qingyun Sect has faced its greatest crisis in recent years.
It all began when Tian Buyi, the master of Great Bamboo Peak, and Su Ru had another son, whom they named Tian Cai.
The boy was clever and gifted: reading by the age of three, cultivating by five, and by the time he was fourteen or fifteen, he had become the Qingyun Sect's little menace.
By day, he would sneak to Dongting Lake to catch a couple of spirit fish for a snack. By night, he would slip into Little Bamboo Peak to peep at his senior sisters bathing.
Even when he was caught, Tian Cai never panicked. He would simply transform into everyone's darling, blinking his big, adorable eyes and claiming he had been framed, and that it was all his junior brother Zhang Xiaofan's fault.
Years later, when the righteous and demonic factions faced off and Tian Cai confronted Zhang Xiaofan, who had fallen to the demonic path:
Zhang Xiaofan (taking a deep breath): Senior Brother Tian, today I'm finally settling the score with you.
