"Homecoming" tells the story of advertising elite Lin Wan who left the high-pressure life in Shanghai and returned to her hometown in the provincial capital to join Huayue Media as deputy creative director. She stirred up the conservative atmosphere with her "catfish" appearance. With professionalism and persistence, she struggled to promote the "Jinhe Real Estate" brand renewal project amidst complex interpersonal relationships and "old rules", and won initial recognition with her "originality". Subsequently, she led a team to bid for the municipal government's key cultural tourism project "Yunqi Ancient Town" and proposed the core idea of the "River of Memory" AR narrative venue. Externally, she encountered vicious competition and out-of-market moves from a strong rival, "New Image Media", and internally faced constraints and anonymous threats from Vice President Chen Mingda. After a fire crisis at the Jinhe project site, internal power games, and continuous refinement of the plan, the team finally won the priority for the Yunqi project, and Lin Wan was promoted to vice president. However, with promotion and victory come greater responsibilities and more secretive hostility, anonymous harassment and internal rifts coexist. The story reaches its climax in the head-to-head confrontation between the "Memory Awakening" cultural pilot and the rival grand music festival's "Awakening" concept, which indicates that a silent war about urban development concepts, professional values and human nature has just begun.
