The Wolf Pack: A Love Story of Tangerines and Berries

This story centers on the Mei Tailang/Ju Tailang pairing and includes some original characters. The characters’ appearances are based on their anthropomorphic designs, so feel free to enjoy the story alongside any fan interpretations you like.

If you’re uncomfortable with the romantic content, feel free to move along. I’m a novice writer and my prose isn’t great, so please bear with me. If you have any feedback, please be kind, fellow readers, and let’s discuss it in a friendly way. Thank you!

I’ve made some changes to the show’s settings.

As for the wolf clan’s ranking system, characters of the same rank differ considerably in strength and performance in the show. For example, Zero Tailang and Number Six are both wolf chiefs, but Number Six has two wolf generals under him, and together they can hold their own against Xin Tailang. So far, Zero Tailang is only known to have Ju and Mei as subordinates, and he hasn’t shown the same level of ability as Xin Tailang, who is a wolf general.

Wolf King ➡ Wolf Elder ➡ Wolf Commander ➡ Deputy Commander ➡ Wolf Chief ➡ Wolf General ➡ Wolf Chief’s Direct Subordinate ➡ Squad Leader ➡ Independent Operative ➡ Ordinary Soldier

The story will use the ranks above as its hierarchy. Promotions will be based mainly on military achievements and contributions, with strength playing only a secondary role.

Zero Tailang’s wife is never named in the show, so I’ve named her Lan Tailang here.

Note: All characters involved in romantic pairings are adults. No inappropriate content.
