On the first day of the Lunar New Year in the Bingwu year, Wu Xie follows his third uncle, Wu Sansheng, deep into the Helan Mountains in search of a mysterious ruin beneath the Sealing Stone. Their companions, Pan Zi and the enigmatic Zhang Qiling, each have their own special skills. When noon arrives, Zhang Qiling uses his Black Gold Ancient Saber to break the seal, revealing an underground palace where thousands of horses whinny. The Wu family's secrets, the curse of the silk manuscript, and the truth behind the blood sacrifice burst into the open beneath the glow of dark-red hoofprints.
