"That night, Youzhou fell. Not one of its hundred thousand soldiers and civilians survived. The court's reinforcements... arrived a whole month too late!"
Three years ago, Li Kai, Crown Prince of the Great Tang, was stationed in Youzhou when a Turkic army laid siege to the city. Betrayed by treacherous officials at court, he was cut off from reinforcements, and the food ran out. Li Kai led the people of the city in holding out for a month, until he finally died from exhaustion. A hundred thousand heroic souls were buried on the frontier, and the city became a tomb!
Three years later, the Turks returned, intent on slaughtering Dingzhou next! At the critical moment, the gates of Hell swung open!
A "ghost army" wearing hideous masks and clad in tattered, bloodstained robes appeared out of nowhere!
"The heroic souls of Youzhou have come to claim your lives!"
Li Kai was not dead! He awakened the Heroic Spirits System and crawled back from Hell into the world of the living!
All he had to do was kill enemies and collect Blood Soul Points, and he could summon legendary generals and invincible armies from the underworld!
From the start, he summoned three thousand Tiger and Leopard Cavalry! They slaughtered the Turks until they trembled in fear and begged for mercy!
When that figure in the blood-red mask appeared once more, all of Great Tang trembled.
Li Yaohua wept bitterly. "Imperial brother, is that you?"
Li Shimin was overcome with terror. "Impossible! My crown prince died three years ago!"
"Once, you cast me aside like trash and treated a hundred thousand lives as though they were nothing."
"Today, I, Li Kai, have returned with a hundred thousand heroic souls!"
"For the blood debt owed to Youzhou, you'll pay with your lives!!"

It's better to close the case directly without any suspense.
Very interesting, good luck to the author
