Workaholic Yao Wei is the head of the business department at a company. So focused on meeting her KPIs, she fails to realize that she and her husband have grown distant. Her department, staffed mostly by women, also faces problems unique to women: pregnancy, mothers on maternity leave, and employees who conceal pregnancies when applying for jobs. Just as this is happening, Yao Wei, who has always wanted a child, discovers she is pregnant at the peak of her career. When her supervisor, Ding Lan, learns the news, she poaches An Xin to serve as the department's director, giving Yao Wei a rival. An Xin has experience and a supportive husband, and she's also child-free by choice, seemingly able to sidestep some of the challenges women face in the workplace. After much agonizing, Yao Wei decides to have the baby.
