I Scammed My Way Into Picking Up a CEO

Illustrator Liu Ruyan goes to Yonghe Temple to pray for love, then gets hit by the car of bankrupt CEO Wu Yang as soon as she steps outside. To pay off their debts, the two are forced to work together to save Gui Xiang Zhai, a century-old pastry shop, only to uncover a twenty-year-old insurance fraud scheme. Liu Ruyan's parents did not die in an accident. The people behind it, Zhou Yongchang and Zhao Mingyuan, colluded with a police mole to stage a series of "accidents" and collect huge insurance payouts. As they pursue the truth, Liu Ruyan and Wu Yang go from creditors who can't stand each other to comrades fighting side by side. With the help of their close friend Lin Wei, who risks her life for them, they find conclusive evidence and bring the criminals to justice. Once everything is settled, the two start a new life in Lijiang, Yunnan, only to face threats from the remnants of an overseas criminal network. A new confrontation quietly begins at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. This is an urban fable about healing from trauma, preserving intangible cultural heritage, and finding love along the way.
