They Refused to Let Me Die, So China's Ancient Ancestor Went on a Rampage

Lu Jiuyuan arrives in the high-martial, fictional Great Gan Dynasty and binds himself to the [Immortal Fame System].

If he gets killed, he’ll ascend on the spot and return to the modern world to enjoy life!

And if he dies a glorious, heroic death, he’ll not only gain an invincible, conceptual-level ability, but also summon legendary heroes from Chinese history to avenge him!

To get home as soon as possible, Lu Jiuyuan sets out to find all sorts of ways to get himself killed.

At court, he points at the empress and the all-powerful treacherous ministers and curses them: “You’re all traitors to the nation! If you’ve got the guts, hurry up and have me executed!”

[Ding! Your remonstration to the death will be remembered for all time! Ability acquired: Immortal Body! The God of War Bai Qi is closing in and is wiping out the families of the corrupt ministers on your behalf!]

Beyond the border, he charges alone at a million enemy cavalrymen, laughing: “You little bastards! Grandpa’s right here. Come kill me!”

[Ding! Your lone defense of the nation’s border will be praised for eternity! Ability acquired: Overlord’s Might! Huo Qubing, who sealed the wolf at Mount Guxu, is about to arrive and is reversing the destruction of your nation!]

Many years later.

Lu Jiuyuan sits looking utterly downtrodden on the throne of the Heavenly Emperor of the Myriad Worlds, gazing at the Chinese heroes kneeling below him.

“Chancellor Zhuge, Big Brother Xiang Yu... I really only wanted to die once. Why did you conquer the heavens and all worlds and make me emperor?”

The heroes weep: “Our lord would die a hundred times for the people of the world. We’d give our lives to make sure our lord doesn’t suffer even the slightest injury!”

The villains of the Myriad Worlds clutch their heads and wail: “Who would dare touch him?! Last time, someone scratched his skin, and that guy behind him, Li Shimin, dug up all our ancestors’ graves!”
