I Opened a Farm in the Cold Palace

In the desolate Cold Palace, sealed away deep within the palace and overgrown with weeds, Shen Xiaohe, a modern university student studying agriculture, accidentally transmigrates into the body of a deposed empress who has spent three years confined there. She plans to lie flat and simply get by, but then she activates a modern farm System and transforms the ruined Cold Palace into a high-yield experimental farm. Tomatoes, chili peppers, and potatoes sprout in abundance, while the aroma of hot pot and milk tea wafts into the imperial study. After three years of poor appetite, the emperor follows the delicious smells. From then on, he claims to be “making inspections” but is really just stopping by for a meal. The officials are moved by the emperor’s devotion, unaware that he only wants a taste of sweet-and-sour pork ribs. Shen Xiaohe seizes the opportunity to launch a “harem membership plan,” trading food for jewels, intelligence, and resources. She monopolizes the lifeblood of the palace economy and even solves military supply shortages and famine with high-yield crops, rising from deposed empress to the empire’s unseen pillar of support. When the emperor kneels with the phoenix seal and begs her to take back her title, she calmly negotiates while nibbling a piece of corn: “I’ll take the title back, but the concubines will have to sign KPIs.” History’s first empress to run the harem with modern management is born. A delightfully sweet and satisfying palace romance of triumph unfolds amid the clatter of cooking utensils and the rustle of memorials.
