This Is Insane! The Wild Female Soldier Can't Beat the Celibate Professor

[Wild, fierce, outspoken female army officer VS refined, repressed professor with a dark side] [Military marriage in a bygone era + sweet contrast + heartwarming romance]

Ye Zhuo is tough and sharp-tongued. When her grandparents try to take the family property for themselves, she rolls up her sleeves, grabs an axe, and puts the whole family in line. Her fiancé is flirting with another woman? She breaks off the engagement, then beats him half to death. From then on, she’s infamous for her ferocity.

At twenty-two, worried she’ll never marry, she sets her sights on an elegant, abstinent professor of military engineering and goes on the offensive with brazen flirtation.

The professor flees in a panic, and Ye Zhuo turns around, ready to settle for any husband.

Who could have guessed that the abstinent professor would come charging back to insist on marrying her, dead serious: “Don’t settle. I’ll marry you.”

Ye Zhuo grins roguishly. “Just wait until I carry you home!”

Everyone is afraid she’ll wear the refined professor out, and they take turns giving advice on their wedding night.

“Platoon leader, you have to be on top.”

“Zhuozhuo, be careful. Don’t crush him.”

“Little sister, you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t keep him at it too long.”

As it turns out, the next day Ye Zhuo is clutching her lower back, barely able to get out of bed.

Damn, so much for an abstinent professor. How is he even wilder than me?!
