Making Myself a God: I Make Humanity Worship Me

Shen Mu transmigrated after dying suddenly, waking with the taste of dirt in his mouth. The gods of this world were dead, prayers went unanswered, and they piled up into disasters: wheat strangled people, safety starved them to death, and fear drove people to hack one another apart. He discovered he could “see” the power of faith and handle divine disasters like programming. He took no followers, held no rituals, and taught for free. All he wanted was for people to be able to stand and speak.

But he soon discovered that someone knew even more about “creating gods” than he did. There was a devoted follower who was honest and unassuming, never fighting for anything; a support staffer who was always smiling in the shadows; and the Churches of the Old Gods and New Gods, the Mage Association... Everyone was playing their own game.

Shen Mu had only one notebook, with the words “My name is Shen Mu. I am not a god” written inside. But the more he wrote, the faster he forgot.

When the truth finally came to light, everyone realized that Shen Mu was not fighting the gods, but people. And among those he trusted most lay a relationship deeper than anyone could have imagined.
