The Demon-Buddha Son-in-Law

[Fantasy + multiple heroines + love rivals + no transmigration + no golden finger + a balance of plot and everyday life + slightly fast-paced]

He was once a lowly live-in son-in-law, enduring scorn on a rainy night before fleeing that household in disgrace.

She was once an unsentimental prodigy, looking down upon all beings from above the clouds, with only the sword in her hand in her heart.

Years later...

He returned from the mortal world, carrying the ancient and supreme Scripture of the Demon Buddha, and forged his own True Suchness Dao Body. At his side were his master, willing to burn away her phoenix blood for him; a nine-tailed celestial fox who would follow him through life and death; a healer who used poison to save the world; and a demoness whose obsession had driven her mad...

She descended from the Ninth Heaven, her Way of the Sentimental Sword shining through the ages. Yet in that familiar and unfamiliar face, she saw the sole crack in her Dao Heart, and the one thing that could make it whole.

When apocalyptic clouds shrouded heaven and earth, the two stood side by side once more.

This finger embodies the turning of karmic retribution, and can break all laws.

This sword embodies the deepest sincerity, and can sever the cycle of reincarnation.

From the mire to the heavens, from hatred to devotion. This is a story of mutual salvation: two incomplete souls finding each other again amid the mortal world, finally becoming whole and shouldering the heavens together.
