Words of the Ruins

Void Speech: the primordial vibrations of the universe, the source of all languages. Speech Corrosion: the calamity of misuse, the wound of consciousness.

Lin Zhan, a deaf girl born able to resonate with Void Speech, joins forces with her mother, Lin Yan, and physicist Lu Shiyan to assemble a team of Dao Resonators.

Following the ruins of Yin, Guge, and Qingcheng, they uncover secrets of a civilization buried for ten thousand years, resist conflicts with interstellar civilizations, and create a language that balances the Dao.

Rooted in Eastern philosophy and expanded through science fiction, this story explores the idea that language is existence, and harmony with the Dao is eternity.
