These are my own OCs. I’m planning to write a novel about a subordinate who overthrows their superior, with animal-inspired characters. A regent schemes for power, while a shadow guard protects him. My writing is terrible, so I might not manage to finish it, but I’ll revise it bit by bit. Also, even the title is a clue, so you can figure it out yourselves~ “I never wanted the city, but the realm awaits a new story!” “I could abandon the whole world, yet I still let you down, in life and in death.”
A secretarybird and a black mamba. The one on top is confident of victory, but in the end loses his composure. The one below is afraid, yet yearns for him, and ultimately wins the contest. The secretarybird is elegant, but also cruel. The snake is a black mamba. He should have been bold and unrestrained, but his tail was cut off. His venom is what keeps people by his side.
I’ll share these two characters’ profiles in some chapters from time to time. It won’t affect your reading, so just treat them like blind boxes. As for some of the supporting characters’ names, I’m honestly too lazy to think of any, so I just made them up. Don’t mind them. (Hehe, I even drew the cover myself.)
