Only After I Ruled the World Did the Heir Start Pursuing Me

A modern female CEO opens her eyes to find her entire family slaughtered. Amid a mountain of corpses and rivers of blood, she happens to save a badly wounded young lord.

Disguised as a man and living under an assumed name, all she wants is to uncover the truth behind her family’s massacre and survive in a world in chaos.

But the young lord she saved is looking at her in increasingly strange ways. He gets jealous for her, loses his composure for her, and lies awake all night thinking of her. He even agonizes over it: How could I fall for another man?

She watches coldly from the sidelines, advancing one careful step at a time.

Until one day, her outrageously powerful “cheap father” claims her as his own, giving her houses, authority, and influence, then forcibly finding her a wife and protecting her every step of the way.

She uses his power to rise to the top, navigating schemes and political intrigue one step at a time, until she becomes a powerful minister.

When the young lord finally discovers she is a woman, his eyes turn wild with fury.

“You made me suffer so much... In this life, you won’t escape me again.”

She raises an eyebrow and smiles faintly, then turns away with a sweep of her sleeve.

“I have power, influence, looks, and a family. My life is already complete. I don’t need Your Highness.”

“She wore men’s clothes to rule the realm, never knowing that someone had already lost his heart and gone mad with love for her.”

The heroine is clever, never ruled by romance, and always several steps ahead. She investigates old cases while building her career, and flirts with the hero along the way.

The hero’s origins are revealed through layer upon layer of twists. He is ruthless to everyone else but makes an exception for the heroine, spoiling and protecting her. Cold at first, he later turns into a jealous, clingy man who pursues her relentlessly, with a touch of forced love and obsession.
