In 2005, Li Jun, an auto mechanic from a small town in Northeast China, insisted on his innocence and refused the overtures of his boss' wife. He firmly believed that his fiancée Liu Feifei was a clean person and went to Dongjiang alone to seek refuge. After arriving, he was shocked to find that the night market was in chaos and that Liu Feifei was already a gangster sister-in-law. Liu Feifei admitted that the boss of the Xiangzhou Group was "in jail" and she was unable to control it, so she tricked Li Jun into pretending to be the boss's cousin to help him take over the group. The upright Li Jun wavered under the persuasion and took action to deal with the troublemaker Gou Kun, but he offended Shuzhou Group's scar for his bravery.

The male protagonist is a pure NPC and the female protagonist ignores him and still keeps her integrity. The harder she scolds him at first, the harder she loves her later. The heroine starts out as a big brother and sister-in-law, but the plot is good but the hero is a bit silly.
