Drunk on Flowers in One Dream

She is the most sought-after legitimate daughter of a military family, devoted only to her clan and uninterested in romance.

He is an idle prince with neither power nor influence, avoiding the world with his carefree ways and paying no heed to court politics.

An imperial decree forces them into marriage. Before they have even met, they are already at odds, trading barbs.

If they cannot treat each other with icy courtesy, they can simply keep out of each other’s way and live like two separate households under one roof.

She takes charge of the household, acting swiftly and decisively to root out corruption in the inner court and put the accounts in order.

She stabilizes the prince’s household single-handedly and refuses to let him interfere in the slightest.

All he wants is peace and quiet, and a tranquil life. He will have no part in court intrigues or domestic disputes.

She cannot stand his womanizing ways and reckless behavior.

He looks down on her scheming nature and her tendency to nitpick everything.

Yet it turns out that the carefree prince is capable of deep devotion, and the military family’s daughter has a poetic, refined side.

Once strangers sharing the same roof, they become the ones closest to each other’s hearts.

Once unwilling in every way, now all they wish for is to steal a quiet moment from this fleeting life, drift into a flower-scented dream, and share a peaceful life together.
