The Locust Tree Calamity

At Xijiang Ferry, the fisherman Xu Sanlang was once no more than a speck of dust in the world, keeping company day and night with the river and his fishing boat.

One midnight, an ancient locust tree by the riverbank, a thousand years old, suddenly gained the power of speech, revealing a long-buried secret about a divine and demonic seal from three hundred years ago.

A congenital Geng Metal war spirit lies dormant within him. The Five Elements Demon-Sealing Formation awaits its key, while five keys in the form of a bell, mirror, seal, map, and token lie scattered throughout the world.

A life-taking monk, unorthodox wanderers, and strange spirits of the wilderness surround him. A calamity involving heaven, earth, and the divine locust tree has already fallen upon his shoulders.

From an unworldly fisherman to the one who wields the keys and breaks the deadlock, fate sweeps him along as he steps into a strange and treacherous path to immortality, all to free the locust spirit from its obsession and settle the three-hundred-year-old grudge of the war spirit.
