Chenguang is reborn and transmigrates to Equestria, where he becomes Twilight Sparkle's big brother, Shining Chenguang. A true idealist, he sets out after graduation with a team to the barren Wasteland Desert to pursue his dreams.

There, he brings the desolate land back to life with urban planning shaped by moonlight as its bones, thoroughfares for transport as its veins, and gentle melodies as its soul.

As the original story unfolds, the now-famous Chenguang arrives in Ponyville. He meets Princess Luna, whose moon-shaped mark complements his own adorable cutie mark, and his once-peaceful heart is stirred.

He came for all the world's people, but after meeting the Moon Princess, exiled for a thousand years, a tender attachment takes root in his heart.

From initial curiosity and concern to an enduring devotion, he protects Luna by her side and comes to love her as they stand together.
