In 2003, in Yihe Town, a small town in the north of the Yangtze River, a female teacher, Ren Xiaoming, fell into the river late at night and died. The police closed the case as "suicide due to depression." Her mother, Ren Meiyan, refused to sign, convinced that her daughter had been murdered.
Twenty years later, in 2023, a mysterious woman who called herself "Ren Xiaoming" appeared in front of Ren Meiyan - but her face, fingerprints, and DNA were completely inconsistent with the deceased.
The only clue is the last words left by the deceased before his death:
"If anyone lives with my name, it must have been my own arrangement."
