The Sugar Code

Comic artist Tang Tang signs a marriage-of-convenience agreement.

Party A: Qi Yu, a cool, aloof lawyer known as “the walking iceberg.”

Term: one year. No interference in each other's lives. The agreement ends when the term expires.

Tang Tang thinks it's just a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Until she discovers...

Every day, there's a sticky note from him on the fridge.

When her shoelace comes undone, he crouches down to tie it for her.

Her comics are neatly arranged on the bookshelf, in order, not a single volume missing.

He keeps all his tenderness outside the terms of their agreement.

And she draws every one of her male leads to look like him.

As the end of their one-year agreement approaches, Tang Tang turns to the last page.

A handwritten line has appeared:

“Agreement term: Permanent.”
