Hinata Hibiki is sixteen, an ordinary girl with a pink high ponytail. Her only real talent is playing guitar.

Her dream is to start a band, then everyone tells her that bands aren’t allowed to sing.

Until one day, a ball of light calling itself Fabula drags her into a white space and tells her she’s a “strong narrative resonance vessel” who’s supposed to become a magical girl.

She only understands four words: magical girl.

“Then let’s sign the contract.”

The moment she says it, a Stillness Beast lunges at her face. She doesn’t have time to transform, so she slaps it dead.

This is her first day as a magical girl.

From then on, the world has one more pink-haired lead singer, a crowd of viewers posting comments, and a bunch of villains who want to “set her straight.”
