I Gave You Five Years of Love. I Won't Be There for the Rest of Your Life

A Prodigal Turns Over a New Leaf and Chases His Wife, with the Hero Put Through Emotional Hell

Are there any stories where the male lead misunderstands the heroine and deliberately carouses with other women, then has to go through hell to win her back? The heroine shouldn't be lovesick or submissive. I want the male lead to suffer satisfyingly. I've read so many where he turns over a new leaf and wins her over with just one sentence. Ideally, neither of them has been with anyone else 😢
