Lin Qinyi had been fascinated by light and shadow since childhood. She struggled her way through the world of animation, always holding on to her unwavering dream of becoming a director. She had long forgotten that as a child, she had stood up countless times to protect the quiet little boy who was always bullied.

The boy had transferred schools in a hurry, but her face remained etched in his heart. Years later, he had become a powerful business magnate who dominated the film industry and controlled a vast investment empire. He spared no effort in finally finding her.

When they reunited, she treated him like a stranger, and misunderstandings and tests of trust followed one after another. They parted and reconciled repeatedly as love and resentment pulled them in opposite directions. Yet no matter how the world changed, he was always there behind her, quietly paving the way and supporting everything she loved and believed in.

The moment she stood onstage to accept the Best Director award, beneath the dazzling lights in the audience, he was waiting tenderly for her to come home, holding their child’s hand.
