Chen Entropy, a doctoral student in the Department of Physics, died suddenly in his office at three in the morning.
Cause of death: overwork.
Trigger: a negentropic term that should not exist.
Last words: "This is not scientific..."
When he opened his eyes again, he was lying in a dry river bed, with four hundred years of soil in his mouth. His body had changed, and there was a glowing "seed" on his chest.
An old man named "Zero" squatted next to him. His left eye was golden and his right eye was black. His tone was like reciting a eulogy:
"You are the forty-ninth generation of chaos. The forty-eight generations before you are all dead."
Chen Entropy: "..."
Zero: "Do you have anything to ask?"
Chen Entropy: "Can I go back and publish the paper before I die?"
Zero was silent for three seconds: "No."
