An abandoned old city is sealed off by a sinister force, and the survivors are forced to take part in the “Night Game.” Every night at midnight, a broadcast announces absurd rules. Anyone who breaks them is dragged away by the Nightmares.
Jiang Linyue, a 26-year-old mechanical engineer, is the first person trapped there. He has a unique golden finger: every night, he can rewind time by one hour, and only he retains his memories.
Calm and rational, he uses a silver watch to record changes in reality and tests whether the rules are genuine through repeated death loops. But rewinding time can’t change the outcome; it only lets him choose another path.
Seven rules, clues in locked rooms, and a Sanity System emerge one after another. He gradually discovers that he is the “Original Player,” and that the foreign object in his mind is connected to a secret from his childhood.
After each rewind, the broadcast’s wording subtly changes, and reality is slightly rewritten. This nightmare is evolving because of him.
