Don't Mess with That E-Rank Good-for-Nothing

In Guangfu City, after 2030, a disaster known as the "Spirit Tide" causes rifts connecting to other worlds to appear across the globe. Humans awaken supernatural abilities and establish organizations such as the "Garrison Bureau" to fight the invading races, bringing tremendous changes to society. The status of ability users is exalted, and awakening ranks, from SSS to F, become the standard by which everything is judged. Good-for-nothing Lin Yao is mocked as "Glue Man" or "Superglue." His ability can only fix objects in place or attach them to other objects, seemingly a combat-useless, support-type E-rank power. In truth, the protagonist can "fix" anything in the world: an enemy's thoughts, the coordinates of space, the flow of time, even "causality." At its core, this is a "Primordial" ability beyond SSS rank, one of the fundamental laws that make up the world. At first, he can only use the crudest form of "physical fixing." Later, after awakening, he can "fix" rifts so they cannot close, and "fix" his own life state so that he is nearly immortal. The ultimate purpose of his power is to protect. The protagonist grows from a lazy, unmotivated slacker into a guardian who shoulders his responsibilities.
