Spiritual energy is a full-dimensional parasitic shackle set by the fallen Taoist master "Yuanchu". The essence of "Qi gathering practice" in all worlds is to help Yuanchu purify the origin of life. The so-called "ascension/transcendence/enlightenment" are all harvest traps set by Yuanchu - the higher the realm, the deeper the shackles. The ultimate essence of Sanling Tao is to return to one's true nature: stripping away all the shackles of external rules (spiritual energy, laws, cause and effect, fate, and dimensional constraints), and returning to the most original free will of life. The purer the original mind, the more shackles it can break, the stronger its power, and ultimately the realization of "unfetters in all dimensions and freedom for all living beings."
