Honghuang: You Call This Stealing? I'm Just Carrying Out Heaven's Will

Taichu transmigrates to the Primordial World and becomes a wisp of “calamity energy” left behind when Pangu created the heavens.

He should be burdened by karma, doomed to die at the slightest touch, but instead he binds himself to the “Boundless Great Love” System. As long as he “takes calamities upon himself for others” in the name of righteousness, he can earn boundless merit!

And so, the entire style of the Primordial World is turned upside down.

On Mount Sumeru, Taichu wears a look of compassion as he takes an Innate Spiritual Treasure from its owners. “Fellow Daoists Jieyin and Zhunti, this treasure is laden with baleful energy and carries enormous karmic consequences! You can’t handle it, so let this poor Daoist bear the sin for you!”

The Two Sages of the West weep with gratitude. “Fellow Daoist Taichu truly is the greatest benefactor in the Primordial World!”

Outside the Zixiao Palace, the Heavenly Dao flies into a rage and sends down ten thousand feet of divine lightning to strike this ball of calamity energy dead.

Bathed in lightning, Taichu shouts with joy, “Divine Father! Are you tempering my body with the origin of creation? I will never disappoint you!”

The Heavenly Dao breaks down. “That’s a world-ending divine thunderbolt! You think it’s a tonic?”

Dao Ancestor Hongjun breaks out in a cold sweat. “This child bears the calamities of the Primordial World with his own body. I am no match for him...”

Years later, as he looks at a Heavenly Dao stripped nearly bald and powerful figures everywhere building ancestral shrines in his honor, Taichu spreads his hands helplessly. “I really wasn’t trying to steal anyone’s chance. I’m just kindhearted and can’t stand to see everyone suffer!”
