Programmer Chen Mo accidentally opened his "data eyes" and discovered that the world is just a set of huge programs run by the underlying code. Elevators, banks, even the human body, everything can be tampered with.
He originally wanted to change his life in a low-key manner, but due to an act of justice, he simultaneously alarmed the "awakened ones" who maintain the order of reality and the "administrator" organization who attempts to reconstruct the world. When two forces caught him in the middle, Chen Mo was forced to become a player in the cracks of the rules.
What's even more frightening is that the "Administrator's" ultimate plan is to modify the underlying code of human nature and eliminate all "malice"—including free will.
Facing this game between gods and chess players, Chen Mo must make a choice: plug the loopholes and return the world to its original state; or write the rules of the new world with his own hands and become a lonely order maker?
