Starting a Business in 1992: From Street Stalls to a Factory Back Home

In 1992, the winds of reform swept across the land.

With no money or connections, country girl Chen Chunyan ventured into the city alone and set up a stall to make a living.

Driven from place to place and bullied, she built a foothold through honesty and hard work, growing from a street vendor into a shop owner, and from a country girl into a businesswoman.

Once her business began to thrive, she resolutely returned to her hometown, built a factory, and brought prosperity to her neighbors, using her own hands to improve the place she called home.

No golden finger, no shortcuts. Relying only on hard work and a sincere heart, she became an inspiring role model in the 1990s.
