Bright Sword: Commander, I'll Come Clean: I Can Build Cannons

[A Bright Sword fanfic + no female lead + feel-good power fantasy + righting past regrets]

Chen Fan, a modern military-industry design engineer, dies from working overtime day after day and has his soul transported into the world of Bright Sword, where he becomes Wang Gensheng, a logistics soldier in the Independent Regiment. From the start, Li Yunlong is preparing to attack Ping'an County. The whole regiment is dirt poor, short on ammunition, and swamped with wounded soldiers.

At the point of despair, Chen Fan activates the [Red Military Industry System]. As long as he has blueprints and basic materials, he can manufacture, repair, and even modify weapons and equipment with a 100% success rate!

Watching the Independent Regiment prepare to sacrifice lives to make up for its lack of siege weapons, Chen Fan can't hold back any longer. He rushes up to Li Yunlong. “Regiment Commander, don't send the soldiers charging to their deaths! Give me one day, and I'll get you a cannon!”

Everyone thinks he's crazy. Li Yunlong nearly shoots him on the spot.

But when a brand-new 60 mm mortar and box after box of improved high-explosive charges appear before them, the entire Independent Regiment erupts!

Li Yunlong: “Damn it, he's the Independent Regiment's most precious treasure. Let's see anyone try to lay a finger on him!”

From then on, the Independent Regiment's whole style changes.

“Old Li, I hear you're rolling in money. Lend me some bullets?” “Get lost! If you want bullets, go ask our Section Chief Wang!”

“Reporting, Brigade Commander: Li Yunlong's Independent Regiment... they've raised an artillery battalion of their own!”

Chen Fan: Our forebears built a Great Wall with their flesh and blood. This time, I'll give them armor of steel! Our goal is the stars and the sea... No, I mean, every squad gets a Type 92 infantry gun! The more, the better!
