The teacher needs results? The student needs resources?
What a perfect partnership for “milking the System”!
And so the whole situation takes a turn:
Chen Mo gives an assignment: “Whoever can withstand one of my moves gets a Marrow-Cleansing Pill!” (Inside: Please, nobody accept. I don’t know any martial arts!)
Lin Que uses his foreknowledge of the plot to give him a huge assist, stepping forward to take the move. “Teacher, your divine skills are peerless! I’ve understood!”
The System judges: [Mission complete! Reward doubled! Student Lin Que receives “Super Marrow-Cleansing Liquid”!]
From then on, one works desperately to act like a master, while the other does his best to play along.
Chen Mo thinks he’s the chosen one, carrying the whole team to victory.
Lin Que secretly milks the System for all it’s worth and ascends to godhood on the spot.
Until the gods of another dimension descend. As Chen Mo prepares to self-destruct and sacrifice himself, the good-for-nothing student who usually acts meek and submissive steps forward...
