Water Town Boy

"Water Village Boy" tells the story of growth and love between Chen Chu and Cai Linxi, teenagers from Q Township, T County, Zhejiang, from the sixth grade of elementary school to working after graduation from university between 2001 and 2018. This is the collective memory of a generation - the smell of disinfectant water during SARS, the commentary on the radio when qualifying for the World Cup, the countless stars on the playground on a blackout night, the tape-covered strings on the handles of red and white machines, the hands secretly held under the desks, the endless river water on the bridge, and the half-melted red bean popsicle. In the past seventeen years, they walked from Q Township to Hangzhou, from boyhood to adulthood. In every insignificant daily life, they loved each other clumsily but sincerely. Dedicated to all those who grew up in the late 1980s and early 1990s, to that era that cannot be returned, and to those of us who have watched the sunset on the bridge. It is also dedicated to the students of the new era, telling you the stories of the times when your parents were studying.
