My name is Zhang Shuisheng and I make a living by fishing.
Ten years ago, people in the village thought I was useless—I didn't go out to work when I was in my mid-twenties, and I ran to the river every day carrying a fishing rod. I was called a "fisherman," and my father was so angry that he threw a glass. My neighbors rolled their eyes when they saw me.
But I just love fishing. Sitting by the water, I feel peaceful.
Later, I caught too many fish and sold them. From not being able to sell a single item, to having regular customers, to renting a reservoir, buying a car, and leading a team. Now I have my own fishing company, with business at home and abroad.
In the past ten years, I met my wife Lin Xiaoyu and gave birth to two children. The people who scolded me back then now want their children to work here.
There is no big theory in this book. It is just my real experience - how I was looked down upon by others, how I survived, and how I made a job out of what I loved.
If you are doing something that others don't understand, if you are also told "no", I just want to tell you:
Wait a little longer and the fish will come.
