The lower city of Lingshu City, permanently corroded by acid rain, is a rusted purgatory that has been completely abandoned by Xuantian Group and Babel Tower. There is no blessing of psychic talent here, no brilliance like the uptown area, only the never-ending corrosive acid rain, mountains of discarded prosthetics, the lingering bottom ants, and the scavenger Su Jiu struggling to survive in the scrap iron pile.
He spent seventeen years of his life foraging in rusty soil and acid rain. A pair of second-hand optical prosthetic eyes covered with snowflake patterns was his only means of livelihood; a clanking old handcart carried all his hope of survival. He never dared to look up at the glow of the Tower of Babel, never dared to touch the taboo of spiritual energy, he just wanted to take one more breath of rusty breath in this cruel world.
An accident on the way to completion caused him to dig out a dying interstellar mechanical body from the wreckage of abandoned prosthetics. He named it Ah Qi, but he did not know that this star skeleton from a destroyed civilization hid the terrifying truth about the cosmic reaper devouring civilization, and also implicated the crisis of annihilation in which the mastermind of Lingshu City unconsciously leaked the coordinates to the interstellar world.
From then on, Su Jiu's peaceful (or desperate) scavenging life was completely torn apart. The Xuantian Group's scavengers are hunting in the middle of the night, the black market old ghosts are secretly spying, the Rusty Hook Gang is greedy to intercept, and the shadow of the interstellar pursuit is approaching step by step. The giant eyes of the Babel Tower are staring at every inch of rust in the lower city.
From the trembling ants in the shack, to the rebels who are determined to carry the fire of the stars; from the scavengers who know nothing about psychic powers, to the game-breakers who master the knowledge of the stars. Su Jiu walked on the rusty land, stepping on despair and fear.
